Karachi: (RightNow) A minority rights march was held outside Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi. Civil society and minority community leaders participated in the event.

During the march, participants referenced Quaid-e-Azam’s August 11, 1947 speech, reminding of Pakistan’s founding vision. They demanded reforms in laws and policies.

Human rights activists, political and social figures joined the march. They expressed deep concern over violence, inequality, and forced religious conversions.

Organizers called on the government for constitutional and legal reforms. They demanded quotas for minorities in educational institutions and removal of hate material from curricula.

It is noteworthy that the purpose of the minority rights march was to raise voices for equality, dignity, and justice. Organizers stated that the struggle will continue, demanding equality for all.
