A Rajasthan farmer’s ₹5 lakh, hidden in a field, was destroyed by termites, leaving the family in financial trouble.
Rajasthan: (RightNow) In India, a farmer faced a costly mistake by hiding money underground. The farmer buried ₹5 lakh in a field, which was destroyed by termites.
The farmer had sold land a year ago and hid the money in a plastic bag, fearing his son might spend it. After burying the money, he forgot about it.
When the farmer needed money for construction, he began searching for it. Family members also helped, but the money was not found.
During the monsoon, the bag was seen floating. Upon opening it, the notes were termite-infested. Most affected were ₹500 notes.
It is noteworthy that the bank refused to assist with the damaged notes. The farmer and his family are facing financial difficulties.
