Islamabad: (RightNow) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The leaders discussed important regional and global issues.

The meeting focused on the changing conditions in the region and ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability. Emphasis was placed on close cooperation between the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister shared details of the Makkah Defense Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey with his Iranian counterpart. The agreement aims to strengthen strategic cooperation.

Ishaq Dar stated that the purpose of the agreement is to enhance strategic cooperation among the three countries. It also aims to contribute to peace and security in the region.

It is noteworthy that this contact was made in light of increasing regional tensions. Both foreign ministers agreed to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest.
