Tehran: (RightNow) The Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee has approved the Hormuz Strait bill. The bill aims to protect national interests and ensure the security of the Persian Gulf.

The head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee, Ebrahim Azizi, stated that the bill was prepared based on the Supreme Leader’s directives and government institutions’ opinions. He further emphasized its importance for safeguarding Iran’s interests in the Persian Gulf.

The US Central Command has announced that a naval blockade on Iran is ongoing, with over 20 warships deployed in the Middle East. Since the blockade’s reimplementation, 55 commercial ships have been redirected.
