Islamabad: (RightNow) On Youm-e-Istehsal, Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister reaffirmed unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiri people. They praised the bravery and struggle for self-determination of the Kashmiri people.

President Asif Ali Zardari stated that India’s unilateral actions on August 5 violate international law. He emphasized that India’s illegal actions cannot change Kashmir’s disputed status.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed concern over severe human rights violations and restrictions on fundamental freedoms in occupied Kashmir. He assured that Pakistan will continue to raise the voice of the Kashmiri people on every international forum.

This issue is fundamental to peace and stability in South Asia. He further stated that India must revoke its illegal actions of August 5, 2019.

It is noteworthy that on August 5, 2019, India took steps to revoke the autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir, which drew global concern.
