Trump Media’s new service, Truth API, faces legal scrutiny for impacting financial markets.
Washington: (RightNow) Former President Donald Trump’s company, Trump Media & Technology Group, faces criticism. The company introduced a service providing Wall Street firms early access to key Truth Social posts.
Reports indicate the service is named “Truth API.” It delivers posts from influential Truth Social accounts to institutional users milliseconds before the general public.
According to the company, this service has been available since August 1 and may cost $100,000 monthly. It aims to provide high-frequency trading firms with rapid data.
Critics have expressed concerns. U.S. Senators have written to the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate the service’s legality and impact.
It is noteworthy that President Trump owns 41% of the company, potentially benefiting financially from increased company revenue.
