The Petroleum Minister forms a committee to resolve oil tanker contractors’ issues, focusing on uninterrupted fuel supply.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The federal government and oil tanker contractors have reached a successful agreement. Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik announced the formation of a high-level committee to address the issues.
On Monday, a successful meeting took place between the Petroleum Minister and the delegation of the Oil Tanker Contractors Association. It was agreed to resolve the issues related to oil tankers through mutual consultation.
According to the statement, a committee headed by the Special Secretary of Petroleum has been formed. This committee will present recommendations within a week, including representatives from DG Oil, OGRA, OTCA, and OCAC.
The OTCA delegation presented demands regarding the reduction in the quota of the white oil pipeline and other issues. The Petroleum Minister instructed OGRA to prioritize resolving the issues of oil tanker contractors.
It is noteworthy that the government’s top priority is to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply across the country. The OTCA delegation appreciated the positive role of the Petroleum Minister and welcomed the formation of the committee.
