Sanaa: (RightNow) Yemeni Houthis have launched a missile at the Saudi city of Jazan. The attack ignited a fire in the city. Houthis claim it was a response to Saudi operations.

Houthis stated that the attack followed Saudi airstrikes on the Yemeni city of Hodeidah and other areas. The Saudi strikes targeted Houthi military objectives.

Saudi Arabia reported targeting Houthi positions in response to threats to commercial ships in the Red Sea. Yemeni sources indicated that Hodeidah’s maritime facilities were affected.

It is noteworthy that Houthis had declared a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia and claimed responsibility for attacks on Saudi ships. Saudi officials confirmed one attack.
