Islamabad: (RightNow) The official residence allotment of Justice Babar Sattar in Islamabad has been canceled by the State Office. The allotment was revoked on July 3, with a notice issued to vacate the house within 30 days.

According to the Registrar Office’s notice, Justice Babar Sattar decided to reside in Islamabad after his transfer to the Peshawar High Court. However, the notice states that he must maintain only one official residence.

Authorities have instructed Justice Babar Sattar to vacate the house within a month starting from July 3. Today, security officials visited his Islamabad residence and then left.

This incident is significant as judges are allowed to maintain one official residence, and Justice Babar Sattar’s housing issues have raised legal questions.

It is noteworthy that sources indicate Justice Babar Sattar is currently on judicial leave and has not taken residence in Peshawar.
