Lahore: (RightNow) Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is denied permission to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan. PHA and Punjab Police officials have started removing the party’s equipment from the venue.
Authorities have dismantled the stage, chairs, and lights from the rally site. Citizens inside Minar-e-Pakistan are also being evacuated.
All gates of Minar-e-Pakistan are closed to the public. PPP workers have arrived at the site to offer arrests.
This issue could lead to political tension as PPP workers are protesting.
