PTA has given mobile operators 30 days to improve service quality, following fines of 3.41 billion rupees over 4 years.
Islamabad: (RightNow) PTA has taken action against mobile companies for substandard service and coverage, giving operators a 30-day deadline. During this period, they must address deficiencies and submit a corrective plan.
According to PTA’s report, mobile companies have been fined 3.41 billion rupees over the past 4 years. Additionally, 20 warning letters and 86 show-cause notices have been issued to these companies.
PTA warns that further stringent actions will follow if deficiencies are not rectified within the stipulated time. The aim is to enhance mobile service quality and coverage nationwide.
This issue was raised following public complaints about poor service quality and inadequate coverage.
It is noteworthy that PTA is undertaking various measures to monitor and ensure the quality of mobile services. This step is taken to secure better service for consumers.
