Pakistan calls India a peace threat at UN, reiterates Kashmir stance.
New York: (RightNow) At the United Nations Security Council, Pakistan responded to India, stating that India is a threat to peace and Jammu and Kashmir is not its internal matter.
Pakistani mission’s counselor Saima Saleem said India’s peace talks are absurd as it violates international laws. She stated that India is disregarding Security Council resolutions.
Saima Saleem further highlighted the stark difference between the conditions in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian-occupied Kashmir. She mentioned that India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty is a breach of international laws.
The Pakistani delegate stated that India’s irresponsible actions endanger regional peace. She added that Pakistan is the most affected country by terrorism.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan has always strived for peace in South Asia under the UN Charter. The Pakistani delegate urged India to comply with Resolution 2788.
