PPP condemns Saad Rafique’s statement, calling it an attempt to distort history and harm national unity.
Karachi: (RightNow) Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has labeled Khawaja Saad Rafique’s statement as irresponsible, considering it against national unity.
Sindh’s senior minister, Sharjeel Memon, stated that Khawaja Saad Rafique is suffering from political bankruptcy and moral decline. He further added that history cannot be altered with sarcastic remarks.
Sharjeel Memon emphasized that the fall of Dhaka is a tragic event in Pakistan’s history, and using it for political point-scoring is akin to rubbing salt on the nation’s wounds.
He mentioned that before blaming Shaheed Bhutto for the fall of Dhaka, Khawaja Saad Rafique should have read the Hamoodur Rahman Commission report.
It is worth noting that PPP has always appreciated Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s contributions, who provided the country with a unanimous constitution and a nuclear program.
