Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan strongly condemns Houthi threats against Saudi Arabia and Red Sea navigation. The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that threats to Saudi Arabia and commercial vessels are unacceptable.

The spokesperson further mentioned that any threat to Pakistani ships will be considered a national security risk. Pakistan reserves the right to take all necessary and legal actions to defend its maritime interests.

The Foreign Office reiterated support for Saudi Arabia’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Ensuring the safety of navigation in the Red Sea and the continuity of global trade is essential.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi rebels announced a blockade of Saudi Arabia’s maritime routes. The US President also threatened a strong response to the Houthi blockade of the Red Sea.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the Houthi announcement of a maritime blockade. Saudi Arabia will continue to support the Yemeni people and their legitimate government.
