Islamabad: (RightNow) The federal government has implemented new Pay Scales 2026 for government employees. Under this, salaries have been increased and executive allowances approved.

According to the notification, the salary for Grade 1 employees has been raised from 13,550 to 16,280 rupees. Additionally, the annual increment has been increased from 430 to 520 rupees.

The government has established an Anomaly Committee to address issues arising during the implementation of Pay Scales 2026. Furthermore, a 50% increase in the conveyance allowance has been approved.

Under the new conveyance allowance, the allowance for Grade 1 to 4 employees has been increased from 1,785 to 2,678 rupees. The allowance for Grade 16 officers has been increased from 5,000 to 7,500 rupees.

It is noteworthy that the government announced last year that pay scales would be revised to improve the financial condition of government employees.
