Lahore: (RightNow) Notification issued for temporary charge of Vice Chancellors at 5 medical universities in Punjab. The Governor of Punjab, using his powers as Chancellor, has issued this notification.

The Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department formally issued the notification on July 21, 2026. This temporary charge will last for three months or until permanent appointments are made.

According to the notification, Pro Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Moin, is assigned the additional charge of VC at KEMU. Additionally, Principal of Faisalabad Medical College, Dr. Muhammad Faisal Bilal Lodhi, is given charge of FMU.

Principal of Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore, Professor Dr. Abdul Hameed, is appointed as Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University. Principal of Rawalpindi Medical College, Professor Dr. Muhammad Khurram, is assigned to RMU, and Professor Dr. Nadia Naseem is given charge of UHS Lahore.

It is noteworthy that these charges are temporary until permanent Vice Chancellors are appointed. The Specialized Healthcare Department has also sent letters to the relevant institutions.
