Islamabad: (RightNow). The United Madrasa Council of Pakistan has distanced itself from Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s statement. The council clarified that madrasas have no connection with anti-state activities or opposition to national institutions.

According to a written statement, any negative narrative against the sacrifices of martyrs is unacceptable. The council stated that the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Army are national heroes.

Spokesperson Dr. Mir Muhammad Asif Akbar Qadri stated that Fazlur Rehman’s stance is his party’s personal position. Religious schools and scholars have no involvement in anti-state activities.

This issue is significant as Pakistan’s madrasas have always been centers for the protection of ideological and geographical borders. They have no association with any campaign against national institutions.

It is noteworthy that various circles have condemned Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s recent statements. The madrasas have announced their disassociation from these statements to maintain national harmony.
