Islamabad: (RightNow). Significant progress has been made in Pakistan-Canada relations. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, energy, and the auto industry.

During the meeting, Canadian Foreign Minister also met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. Both countries expressed their determination to intensify joint efforts against illegal immigration and human trafficking.

The Canadian Foreign Minister stated that Canada aims to give a new dimension to economic and trade relations with Pakistan. Both countries agreed to explore new opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, mining, energy, and auto parts sectors.

The Prime Minister attended the ceremony for the phytosanitary protocol for canola imports. Anita Anand described the Pakistani-Canadian community as a vital bridge between the two nations.

It is noteworthy that during the meeting with Mohsin Naqvi, the Canadian Foreign Minister also discussed preventing cybercrimes. Mohsin Naqvi stated that Pakistan is keen to enhance relations with Canada.
