Tehran: (RightNow) Tensions in the Middle East have escalated as explosions were heard on Iran’s Qeshm Island. Following threats of action from US President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, explosions occurred at three different locations.

According to Iran’s semi-official news agency Fars, a loud explosion was heard on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. The nature and causes of the explosions remain unknown at this time.

Iranian authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding these explosions. Sources indicate that an explosion also occurred on Iran’s Kish Island, affecting water and electricity installations.

It is important to note that Qeshm Island is Iran’s largest island, hosting significant naval and Revolutionary Guard installations.

Additionally, Iran’s state broadcaster reported an explosion in the city of Andimeshk in Khuzestan, while Kuwait has activated its defense systems against hostile targets in its airspace.
