Lahore: (Right Now News) The Punjab government has set a new record by completing 1129 roads in 75 days. These projects were completed with high quality and cost savings.

A briefing on the communication department’s development projects was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. A road network spanning 1795 kilometers was completed at a cost of 30 billion rupees.

From April to July this year, a network of 6 thousand kilometers of roads was laid. Out of 1567 schemes costing 79 billion rupees, 1129 have been completed.

99% of the development funds were utilized, resulting in savings of 11 billion rupees. Field staff worked in three shifts to complete the projects ahead of schedule.

It should be noted that 124 flood-affected roads, including Multan Vehari, Faisalabad Chiniot, and Tourism Highway, have also been restored.
