Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan has issued $3 billion worth of Eurobonds in the global financial market, marking the largest single bond in the country’s history.

According to the Ministry of Finance, $1.75 billion was raised through a 5.5-year bond and $1.25 billion through a 10-year bond. The coupon rates for these bonds are set at 7.50% and 7.90%, respectively.

The issuance received double the demand from international investors, indicating a strong interest in Pakistan’s economy.

The $3 billion raised from the Eurobonds will be used for external financial needs and debt repayments, positively impacting the national economy.

It is noteworthy that earlier this year, Pakistan also issued a $500 million Eurobond, and this recent issuance further strengthens Pakistan’s return to the global market.
