Islamabad: (Right Now News) Diplomatic efforts by Pakistan have brightened the prospects for negotiations between the US and Iran. The deadline for a ceasefire between the two countries is approaching, and preparations for peace talks in Islamabad are underway.
After a US action on an Iranian ship in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran had refused to negotiate. However, Pakistan’s leadership has played a role in breaking this deadlock.
In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a commitment was made to ensure the talks take place. US President Donald Trump is considering lifting the blockade.
According to British media, the Trump administration is contemplating granting Iran conditional permission for uranium enrichment, which will be halted for the first ten years.
It should be noted that the Iranian leadership is cautious about negotiations. The Iranian President stated that war is in no one’s interest and diplomatic routes should be pursued.
