Paris: (Right Now News) A valuable painting by world-renowned artist Pablo Picasso, valued at over 280 million rupees, was sold for just 32 thousand rupees. This occurred through a charity lottery held in Paris.

Paris resident Ari Hodara, a software salesman, won the prize by participating in the lottery. The campaign awarded Picasso’s 1941 creation “Tête de Femme” as the prize.

A total of 120,000 tickets were sold, and the proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation. The winner was informed of the prize during a live event, which was shown via video call.

This campaign not only brings art to the general public but also effectively promotes charitable activities. According to Picasso’s grandson, the artwork’s original value exceeds one million dollars.

It is noteworthy that this was the third edition of the campaign. The first edition’s proceeds were used for the preservation of the city of Tyre in Lebanon, while the second edition’s funds were utilized during the COVID-19 pandemic.
