Reports indicate that his father, former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was also killed in the attack. It was further revealed that other family members were also killed in this incident.
The 56-year-old Mojtaba Khamenei remains mentally active, participating in state decisions via audio conferences.
