Seattle: (RightNow). An Israeli company faces allegations of spying on Starlink users. Cybersecurity experts reveal the firm attempted to track user locations.

According to Reuters, Trend AI researchers identified Discover Tech as the top bidder for Starlink ads. The company bid on Starlink traffic in over 100 countries where Starlink was restricted.

In digital advertising, companies bid for user data access. Experts say this data can reveal user identities and monitor activities.

Trend AI labeled Discover Tech as ‘Shadow Earth 79’ in its report. Following investigations, Google and others removed Discover Tech from their platforms.

It is noteworthy that Starlink provides communication services in the Ukraine war. Despite local internet restrictions, connections are possible, but spying concerns heighten security risks.
