Karachi: (RightNow) Senior MQM Pakistan leader Dr. Farooq Sattar has announced the establishment of 6 administrative units in Sindh, ensuring equal distribution of resources across the province. He emphasized that Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana, among other areas, should have equal development opportunities.

During a press conference in Karachi, Farooq Sattar stated that everyone has a right to Sindh’s resources, and cities like Umerkot, Tharparkar, and Sukkur should also be developed. According to him, the creation of new units can decentralize power to the grassroots level.

He further mentioned that the public should have the right to decide what they want, suggesting a referendum could be held for this purpose. Farooq Sattar stressed that public opinion should be considered on this long-standing issue.

Farooq Sattar also addressed the retirement dues of Karachi’s municipal employees, noting that many have not received their entitlements. He claimed that deductions from employees’ salaries were deposited into KMC’s account.

It is noteworthy that the Sindh High Court has ordered the payment of retirement dues to employees. Farooq Sattar has held the Mayor of Karachi and other officials responsible for ensuring the implementation of this decision.
