Peshawar: (RightNow) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi states that the provincial police will not become a political party’s Tiger Force. He is committed to making the police an independent and autonomous institution.

Speaking in Peshawar, Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized that the police will not be subservient to anyone. He stated that the law should act against those who commit wrongdoings.

The KPK Governor accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of trying to subordinate the police and the interior department. However, he assured that there is currently no unconstitutional or illegal activity in the province.

He mentioned that if any unconstitutional matter arises, he will review its legal aspects. He asserted that he will not approve any unconstitutional actions.

It is noteworthy that Faisal Karim Kundi aims to see the provincial police free from political influence and autonomous. In his view, the police should perform their duties according to the law.
