Islamabad: (RightNow) Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, warns that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi could face contempt of court charges if Islamabad High Court’s order is violated.

Speaking on Geo News, Chaudhry stated that the government remains open to negotiations, with the Prime Minister’s committee and Speaker’s office available for dialogue.

He further claimed that the Chief Minister is trying to save his position, not for the PTI founder.

According to Chaudhry, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government aims to bring the police under complete control through a new act.

It is noteworthy that under the new act, all police policies will be managed by the Chief Minister.
