Quetta: (RightNow) The Balochistan government has enforced Section 144 across the province due to security concerns. This decision aims to ensure public safety and takes immediate effect.

According to the Balochistan Home Department notification, a ban on displaying weapons in public places is in place for 23 days. Similarly, gatherings of five or more people are prohibited.

The notification also bans face coverings or veils that may hinder identification. This restriction is effective from September 23 and will last for 30 days.

Authorities have warned of strict action against violators. Law enforcement agencies and district administration have been instructed to ensure full compliance.

It is noteworthy that the government has previously enforced Section 144 in Balochistan to improve the security situation.
