According to FSSAI, the presence of detergent in milk creates foam that differs from pure milk. The authority demonstrated in a video that shaking 5-10 ml of milk can reveal foam presence.

Experts state that foam in pure milk dissipates quickly, while foam in adulterated milk persists longer. This method provides an initial assessment of potential adulteration at home.
