Tehran ceremony honors Pakistani military sacrifices, aims to strengthen Pakistan-Iran relations.
Tehran: (RightNow) A solemn ceremony was held at Pakistan House in Tehran to mark Pakistan’s Defense and Martyrs Day. Ambassador Imran Ahmed Siddiqui welcomed guests and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistani armed forces.
Ambassador Siddiqui emphasized the pride in those who sacrificed their lives for national defense. He highlighted the importance of prioritizing peace and dialogue.
He further stated that Pakistan views diplomacy and negotiations as the best means to resolve conflicts and reaffirmed the commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty.
The ceremony, honoring those who sacrificed for Pakistan’s defense, was attended by Iran’s Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Seyed Hamza Golandari, who stressed the importance of strengthening Pakistan-Iran relations.
It is noteworthy that Defense Day is observed on September 6, commemorating the day when the Pakistani nation thwarted the advance of a numerically superior enemy.
