PTI’s rally in Karachi canceled due to lack of permission under Mazar-e-Quaid laws.
Karachi: (RightNow) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was denied permission for a rally on Shahrah-e-Quaideen this Sunday. Consequently, the rally has been canceled.
The district administration of East Karachi has maintained a ban on rallies around Mazar-e-Quaid. This decision was announced on Sunday.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that no gatherings are allowed around Mazar-e-Quaid. Legal action will be taken if any unauthorized assembly occurs.
Under the laws of Mazar-e-Quaid, rallies or processions are prohibited in the vicinity. This law is to preserve the sanctity of the mausoleum.
It is noteworthy that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi has arrived in Karachi. He is accompanied by Haleem Adil Sheikh.
