Sialkot: (RightNow) Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has strongly criticized corruption in the healthcare sector. During an event in Sialkot, he stated that the level of embezzlement in healthcare is unparalleled.

Khawaja Asif revealed that modern facilities have been provided for factory workers at the Social Security Hospital. Sialkot’s industry employs millions of workers, necessitating excellent medical facilities for them.

He further mentioned that the PIMS incident is a result of corruption, and the Prime Minister has taken notice. According to him, the events at PIMS are alarming.

The Defense Minister said that the health regulatory body was also involved in the PIMS incident, promoting corruption. He claimed that the focus there was solely on making money.

It is noteworthy that major hospitals in Rawalpindi are unregistered. Khawaja Asif indicated plans to provide skin cancer treatment and a burn unit in Sialkot soon.
