Zurich: (RightNow) The dispute between FIFA and UEFA has intensified. FIFA has accused UEFA of running a ‘defamation campaign’ against Infantino in a U.S. court.

The conflict arose due to FIFA’s commercial rights project ‘FIFA Forward Enterprise.’ The project was withdrawn after opposition from UEFA and other organizations.

UEFA has attempted to obtain U.S. documents and testimony to initiate Swiss criminal proceedings against Infantino and other FIFA officials.

FIFA claims UEFA tried to sabotage the project, while UEFA demands reforms within FIFA.

It is noteworthy that Infantino aims to run for a fourth term in March 2027, facing pressure from three confederations.
