Aaqib Javed questions Imam-ul-Haq’s injury, demands explanation and inquiry.
Lahore: (RightNow) Pakistan Cricket Board’s Director of High Performance, Aaqib Javed, has expressed concern over Imam-ul-Haq’s absence from the Lord’s Test. He stated that Imam’s injury was minor and he should have played for the team.
Aaqib Javed mentioned that despite the strain in Imam-ul-Haq’s left calf, his decision not to bat is disappointing. Imam-ul-Haq will need to provide an explanation for this situation.
He further stated that an inquiry will be conducted into Imam-ul-Haq’s case to dispel any doubts about the injury being a drama.
It is important to note that after the defeat at Lord’s Test, the Pakistan Cricket Board has recalled Imam-ul-Haq and six other players. Changes have also been made in the coaching staff.
Remember, the third Test between Pakistan and England is set to begin on September 9 at Edgbaston.
