According to astronomers, about 96% of the moon’s surface will pass through Earth’s shadow during this time. Although it won’t be a total lunar eclipse, the view will be quite impressive.

The partial lunar eclipse will peak at approximately 4:13 AM UTC on August 28, with about 96% of the moon in Earth’s shadow.

In various parts of North America, the eclipse will occur at different times. In New York and Toronto, it will be at 12:12 AM, and in Chicago and Houston, it will be at 11:12 PM.

It is important to note that a lunar eclipse occurs when Earth comes between the sun and the moon, casting its shadow on the moon’s surface.
