Islamabad: (RightNow) On the night of August 12, astronomy enthusiasts will witness a rare celestial event as four major astronomical phenomena occur simultaneously. These include the alignment of six planets, a new moon, a solar eclipse, and a meteor shower.

Six planets, including Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, will align in a special sequence in the sky. Some of these planets will be visible to the naked eye, while others will require a telescope.

The new moon will darken the sky, making astronomical observation easier. Additionally, a solar eclipse will occur, visible in Northern Russia, Greenland, and other locations.

The peak of the Perseids meteor shower will be on the night of August 12 and 13. This shower is caused by particles from the Swift-Tuttle comet, creating bright streaks in the sky.
