Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed OGRA to enhance transparency in the oil and gas sector. He has ordered the activation of a modern digital system to eliminate profiteering.

A delegation led by the World Bank’s Country Director met with the Prime Minister. The delegation presented policy recommendations, which the Prime Minister assured would be considered.

The Prime Minister has also directed the formation of a committee to review the report. This committee will conduct a detailed analysis and present its recommendations.

These measures are crucial for increasing transparency in the oil and gas sector and preventing hoarding. The government’s effort is to ensure the public receives oil and gas at fair prices.
