Karachi: (RightNow) The FIA has arrested NADRA officials involved in issuing fake IDs to foreigners. These officials processed over 100 Pakistani ID cards for non-citizens.

Sources reveal that a private agent provided necessary documents for foreigners. These included birth, death, and marriage certificates, forwarded by former NADRA employee Rao Zahid.

The FIA states that Assistant Director Jehanzaib Memon charged 1 to 1.5 lakh rupees per application. The money was sent to Jehanzaib through Fayyaz Ahmed and Rao Zahid.

It is important to note that Fayyaz Ahmed disclosed information about suspicious IDs, and further investigations are underway to identify more suspects.

Remember that a judicial magistrate has approved a 2-day physical remand for the suspects. The FIA claims evidence of links between the suspects and terrorist elements has been found.
