PTI’s decision to rejoin committees depends on Imran Khan’s approval, as per senior leadership.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s return to parliamentary committees hinges on the approval of PTI founder Imran Khan. The senior leadership has linked the final decision to his consent.
Sources indicate that the proposal for returning to the committees will be presented in an upcoming meeting with the PTI founder. A decision is expected thereafter.
Party sources state that most PTI members in the Senate and National Assembly are eager to rejoin the committees. Several members have proposed this idea in party meetings.
Senior leadership has informed members that the final decision on returning or boycotting the committees is not within their authority. It will be made following the PTI founder’s directive.
It is noteworthy that PTI had previously boycotted the committees, and the possibility of returning is now under consideration.
