Dnipro: (RightNow) A Russian drone strike in Ukraine’s Dnipro city killed 13 people and injured 10 at a railway station. Three of the injured are in critical condition, raising fears of more fatalities.

According to international news agencies, the jet-engine-powered drone targeted the platform of a passenger train heading to Zaporizhzhia. Ukraine’s state railway had issued a warning about the increased threat level.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack as horrific and called on the US, European countries, and the G-7 to impose tougher sanctions on Russia.

He criticized the easing of sanctions on Russia’s energy sector and billionaires, stating that pressure on Moscow and its war machinery must be increased.

It is noteworthy that over 1,700 railway facilities in Ukraine have been targeted by Russian attacks this year. Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov described the incident as a major tragedy for the city.
