Lahore: (RightNow) LPG prices in Punjab, including Lahore, remain unchanged. The fuel is not available at official rates in various cities.

According to LPG distributors, the mafia has earned Rs 2.5 billion in two weeks. Shopkeepers claim that prices are out of control due to lack of action from OGRA.

Shopkeepers report LPG is being sold at over Rs 525 from plants, making cheap sales impossible. OGRA has yet to take action against major plants.

OGRA set the LPG price at Rs 280 per kg, but it is being sold for Rs 550 to Rs 575 in the market. This price difference is causing difficulties for the public.

It is important to note that daily LPG consumption is between 7,000 to 7,500 kilograms. The mafia is earning over Rs 300 per kilogram, creating challenges for consumers.
