According to MIT scientist Patty Maes, artificial content impacts human cognitive abilities. The study revealed that despite recognizing AI-generated content, people accept false information as true.

During the research, participants were shown original and altered images. Results indicated that viewers of altered images failed to accurately recall the original ones, believing their incorrect memories to be true.

Experts suggest this issue could exacerbate weaknesses in human memory. Artificial content may influence voters’ opinions in political matters.
