Senate opposition protests government actions in KP, raising concerns over judiciary and regional conflicts.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Senate opposition leader Raja Nasir Abbas has strongly objected to government actions in KP. He stated that the province is under attack, urging people to come out of their homes, questioning the consequences if they do. The situation in Balochistan is also beyond the government’s control.
Raja Nasir Abbas remarked in the Senate session that elected representatives are being replaced by sycophants. Protests are ongoing across Pakistan. The judiciary has been destroyed, and decisions are in the hands of irrelevant individuals.
He warned that Pakistan is surrounded on three sides and may face closure from China. Economic growth could be affected if the public mandate is not accepted.
It is noteworthy that in 1971, a part of the country separated due to the non-acceptance of the public mandate. The opposition leader also expressed concern over Pakistan’s role in the Yemen and Saudi Arabia conflict.
The opposition demanded a joint session on the Yemen issue. Federal Minister Tariq Fazal stated that actions were taken under the defense agreement with Saudi Arabia.
