Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police propose a 120% salary increase, incurring Rs 5 billion monthly expenses.
Peshawar: (RightNow) A proposal to increase Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police salaries has been sent to the governor. The summary suggests a 120% security challenge allowance for southern districts, D.I. Khan, Bannu, Kohat region, and all merged districts.
The proposal also recommends a 100% basic salary allowance for police in other populated districts and a 75% allowance for Hazara region officers.
The summary states that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have been combating terrorism for three decades, with salaries lower than other provinces.
This move highlights the need to modernize Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police equipment.
It is noted that this security challenge allowance will result in additional monthly expenses of Rs 5.159 billion.
