Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistani freelancers achieved their highest-ever monthly earnings in September 2026. They earned $197 million in foreign exchange, significantly impacting the national economy.

According to official figures, freelancers’ export earnings in September increased by 49% compared to last year. On a monthly basis, earnings rose by 11% compared to August 2026.

In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, freelancers earned $550 million in foreign exchange, marking a 46% increase from last year. This growth is crucial for Pakistan’s digital economy.

Freelancing includes software development, web development, and graphic designing. Pakistani skilled workers provide services to individual clients in the global market.

It is noteworthy that in the fiscal year 2025-26, freelancers earned $1.76 billion in foreign exchange. This growth is a significant advancement for Pakistan’s digital economy.
