Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistani freelancers have achieved a new milestone in the digital economy for the fiscal year 2025-26. According to official data, freelancers earned $1.76 billion in foreign exchange this fiscal year.

Compared to the previous fiscal year, freelancers’ export earnings increased by 78%. In June 2026 alone, freelancers’ export earnings were $164 million.

Official data indicates a 69% annual increase in freelancers’ export earnings in June. This growth reflects the development of Pakistan’s digital economy.

This success is significant for Pakistan’s economy as it boosts foreign exchange reserves. Growth in the freelancing sector is a positive step towards national economic stability.

It is noteworthy that in the fiscal year 2024-25, freelancers’ export earnings were $985 million, while in 2023-24, they were $505 million.
