Islamabad: (RightNow). Pakistan’s IT exports have risen by 21%, reaching $4.6 billion. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the performance of the Minister of Information Technology and his team for this significant achievement.

In a government meeting, the development of the IT sector and the promotion of the digital economy were discussed. The Prime Minister instructed to ensure the quality of IT training and further enhance digital infrastructure.

The meeting was informed that the availability of mobile spectrum increased from 274 MHz in June 2025 to 880 MHz in June 2026, improving internet speed.

The increase in IT sector exports is a result of government policies, crucial for the growth of the country’s digital economy. These measures are vital for the nation’s economic future.

It is noteworthy that the number of IT training certificates in Pakistan has exceeded 942,000, and projects with Alibaba on artificial intelligence are ongoing.
