Karachi: (RightNow) Former actress Areej Fatima has disclosed the reason for consistently covering her head. She states that the fear of hair loss after her cancer diagnosis compelled her to wear a hijab.

Areej Fatima shared in a video clip that she took great pride in her hair and began covering her head to protect it. She mentions that hair is a woman’s confidence.

She further added that wearing a hijab was a turning point for her. She began performing ablution and felt ease from Allah.

Areej mentioned that her illness was diagnosed overnight and treatment became possible. She believes it is a blessing from Allah and wrong to consider it as punishment for sins.

It is noteworthy that Areej Fatima advised relying on Allah during her illness and stated that illness is a part of one’s destiny.
