Inflation in Pakistan Reaches 11.53%, Increasing Public Hardships

Islamabad: (RightNow) The Federal Bureau of Statistics has released the annual inflation report. According to the report, the annual inflation rate in the country has reached 11.53%. On a weekly basis, inflation has increased by 0.21%.

The Bureau of Statistics reports that prices of 20 items have increased in one week. In the recent week, prices of 10 items decreased while 21 remained stable. Prices of chicken and garlic rose by 7.25% and 1.85%, respectively.

Increases have been recorded in the prices of onions, wheat, gram flour, electricity, fuel, LPG, and medicines. The Bureau noted a decrease in the prices of petrol, diesel, and sugar.

This inflation rate is deeply affecting the public as the prices of daily essentials are rising. The government has not presented any immediate solutions.

It is important to note that last year, the price of onions increased by 114.20%. Significant increases were also recorded in LPG and electricity charges.
